You learn to enjoy your own company because there are days when nobody asks how you are, nobody notices when you disappear, and nobody really knows what goes on inside your head. You start becoming comfortable with silence, carrying your thoughts alone, watching everyone else move forward while quietly figuring out how to keep yourself together. And eventually, you realize that growing up is sometimes less about finding people who stay and more about learning how to be okay when they don’t.
